Double Seals for Bass Recorders

Over 40 years ago Herbert Paetzold created a completely new square design of recorder. One crucial detail to this new development was the connection of the individual recorder parts. He created the system featuring two wing screws, so that it was - and still is - very easy to assemble and disassemble the individual parts of the large recorders.
In comparison to the somewhat strenuous task of assembling or disassembling conventionally built round large recorders, it is immediately clear that Herbert Paetzold had invented something very pleasant.

In the first instrument design, there was the small disadvantage that the parts had to be pressed together from time to time to avoid an air gap.

This small weakness was completely eliminated by the invention of the double seals. Once double seals are fitted, the Paetzold system is the 100% most comfortable and reliable solution for connecting large recorder parts.

The earlier Paetzold bass recorders can also be retrofitted and improved with the new seals.
For the next ten days, in celebration of the 10th anniversary of Paetzold by Kunath, you can get the double seals at an even lower price.
