The Clarineau
The Clarineau (pronounced: Clarinoh) is our answer to the question: what instrument can provide the best introduction to the reed instrument family?
The combination of a simple body with an extremely high-quality B-flat clarinet mouthpiece results in an instrument that makes music-making just as much fun in lessons as in spontaneous music sessions.
We offer special reeds for our Clarineaus. However, you can use any Boehm B-flat clarinet reed. This means that all the standard reeds the world has to offer are available for you to play with.

You want to enjoy your Clarineau / Chalumeau for a long time?
It is very important to oil the inner bore and the heart (the area into which the mouthpiece is inserted) regularly.
How often to oil?
If the wood looks a little "greasy / oily", it's good.
If the wood looks dry and gray, then it is high time to oil it.
