Subgroßbassblockflöte „HP-Original“, Solo, Schwarz lackiert, Paetzold by Kunath

In stock

The instrument from the SOLO series with the model designation: 27-AS from the Paetzold by Kunath workshop is a musical tool that provides lasting joy in the classroom as well as on stage.
This circumstance is due to the clever composition of the special instrument model in symbiosis with the sound characteristics of the used material RESONA.

This material fascinates with the instrument by its extraordinary advantages. The characteristics can be characterized in such a way, whereby it lies in the nature of the thing that sounds can be described always only inadequately with words. For this reason the material-typical sound of recorders is perceived and described by each person in slightly varying details: Woody and warm.

The bore

. The course of the recorder's inner bore is cylindrical and wider. This kind of bore course gives the recorder its typical sound.
In principle, instruments with a wider bore sound warmer, fuller, more fundamental and thus more suitable for ensembles than models with a narrower bore.

For what styles of music can the flute best be used?

RESONA is particularly suitable for recorders used in ensembles, choral playing and as soloists.

Who is the instrument aimed at?

It follows from this that instruments from RESONA are particularly suitable for beginners. An additional important basic rule is that a more demanding instrument makes learning more pleasant in most cases than a supposedly cheap one.

The wind tunnel of a recorder

The windway is the area in the recorder's headjoint where the musician's blowing air is formed into a thin sheet of air. This air leaf is the central starting point of the instrument's tone production. In interaction with the labium the air leaf thus gives rise to the vibration which generates the flute tone. The shape of the wind channel is therefore extremely relevant for the response and the sound of the instrument.

The instrument 27-AS by Paetzold by Kunath has a windway that is straight and conical.
Conical windways accelerate the air leaf more than cylindrically shaped ones.
Wind tunnels are naturally very complex in their design and many parameters are influenced by each other.

The instrument Paetzold by Kunath SOLO 27-AS is delivered in the following version: Baroque fingering.

. It is not always possible to drill the tone holes in places in the instrument that are easy and comfortable to grasp with the hands. Especially on bass recorders, some tone holes sit in positions that are not accessible for tuning reasons. On these instruments, keys are fitted to make gripping significantly {simplify|easier, or even possible in the first place.
The 27-AS instrument has the following keys: Paetzold full keys. This allows the recorder to be played easily by players with smaller hands. This form of key action is unique and legally protected. Especially in Taiwan and Korea these instruments are often used at schools by leading teachers for adolescent players.
But also older players with reduced grip span of the hands enjoy the advantages of the Paetzold full key action.

Body construction

The number of parts of a flute strongly influences the way in which the woodwind instrument can ensure uncomplicated handling in terms of easy assembly on the one hand, and compact transport on the other, during daily use.
A point that becomes especially important when transporting larger or multiple instruments .
Leaders of recorder ensembles will agree.

Packing and accessories

. The instrument comes standard with Optional bag / case and the useful accessories: Grease box, fingering chart, care instructions.

Hygiene tips

. If the instrument is lent out again and again, it is recommended to sterilize the beak area regularly to ensure hygienic safety. Flautisept has proven to be a good disinfectant for this purpose. You will find Flautisept in our assortment.

How to find a new recorder

. How do you easily find your next instrument?
Ask people you know
. However, you should in no case let "universal" rules dissuade you from playing a recorder yourself. Your musical feeling is as unique as you are. Therefore, only you can decide which recorder is right for you.
Our recommendation is therefore: Try different manufacturers that you have not yet tested. You can only gain new experiences.
