Quick Overview
soprano class flute, cherry, baroque fingering, with double hole for c/cis and d/dis, 442Hz

The recorder from the model series Class Flute with the model designation: 112-072 from Paetzold by Kunath is a companion that always gives fun making music in the classroom, as well as on stage.
The instrument owes this characteristic mainly to the skilful marriage of the pioneering model in its fine tuning with the tonal characteristics of the material used, plum wood (Prunus).

In this instrument, the material is strikingly pleasingly inspiring for its unique qualities. The special properties can be characterized in this way, whereby it is in the nature of things that sounds can always only be inadequately described with words. For this reason, the material-typical sound of recorders is perceived and described in varying detail by each individual: Soft, warm.

The bore

. The inner bore of the instrument is slightly cylindroconical and wide. This type of bore gives the model its typical sound.
In principle, instruments with a wider bore sound warmer, fuller, more fundamental and thus more suitable for ensembles than recorders with a narrower bore.

For what styles of music can the flute be used?

Plum wood (Prunus) is predestined for instruments that are used in ensembles, for choral playing and soloistically.

Who is this recorder aimed at?

It follows that recorders made of plum wood (Prunus) are particularly suitable for beginners. Another law to be observed is that a more qualitative instrument naturally makes learning progress easier than a supposedly cheap one.

The wind tunnel of the recorder

The wind tunnel is the area in the head of the recorder where the blowing air is formed into an air leaf. This air leaf is the defining element of a recorder's sound. Together with the labium the air leaf produces the vibration which generates the flute's sound. The shape of the windway is thus one of the formative principles The model 112-072 from Paetzold by Kunath has a windway that is straight and conical.
Conically shaped windways accelerate the air more than cylindrical windways.
Wind tunnels are naturally complex in their geometric design and many parameters influence each other.

The flute Paetzold by Kunath Klassenflöte 112-072 is made in the following style: Baroque fingering.

. It is not always possible to place tone holes in places in the body that are easy to reach with the fingers. Particularly on low instruments, some tone holes sit in positions that are ergonomically out of reach due to acoustic necessities. On these instruments, keys are fitted to the instrument makers to make gripping considerably {simplify|easier, or even possible in the first place.
The 112-072 instrument has the following flaps: None. This allows it to be played comfortably by players with smaller hands. This key action is unique and legally protected. Especially in Korea and Taiwan, these instruments are often used in youth ensembles by leading teachers for adolescent players.
But also older players with reduced grip span of the hands appreciate the advantages of the Ohne.

Body construction

The number of individual parts of a musical instrument strongly influences the way in which the flute can be used in daily use, on the one hand for ease of handling in terms of easy assembly, and on the other hand for convenient transport.
This is a point that should not be underestimated, especially when transporting larger (and sometimes several) instruments.
Leaders of recorder orchestras will agree.

Packaging and accessories

. The model comes standard with bag and the following accessories: Grease cup, wiper rod, fingering chart.

Hygiene tips

. If the recorder is used by several players, it is recommended to sterilize the beak area at regular intervals to ensure hygienic safety. In these cases, the remedy Flautisept has proven its worth. Flautisept is available in our assortment.
