General

The recorder from the model series SOLO with the article number: 24-A-SONDERL from the workshop Paetzold by Kunath is an instrument that always gives fun anew, both in class and on stage. This is largely due to the deliberate marriage of the unique instrument model in symbiosis with the timbres of the material RESONA.

used. This material pleasantly inspires with the instrument by its material-typical advantages. The characteristics can be characterized in such a way, whereby it lies in the nature of the thing that sounds can be described always only insufficiently with words. Therefore the sound of recorders is perceived and described somewhat differently by each person in the details: Wooden and warm.

The scale

The inner bore of the instrument is cylindrical and wider. This type of drilling process gives the recorder its typical sound.
In principle, instruments with a wider bore sound warmer, fuller, more fundamental and thus more ensembleable than models with a narrower bore.

For which music can the instrument be used?

RESONA is ideal for recorders that are used in folk music and as an introduction to recorder playing.

Who is the instrument intended for?

This means that RESONA instruments are particularly suitable for ambitious amateurs and advanced players. Another basic rule to be observed is that a better instrument usually enriches the interaction more than a favourable one.

The wind tunnel of the recorder

The wind tunnel is the area in the head of the instrument in which the blowing air of the musician is formed into an air blade. This air leaf is the determining element of the sound production of the instrument. In interaction with the labium, the air leaf thus generates the fundamental oscillation that generates the flute tone. The shape of the wind tunnel is thus extremely important for the variation possibilities of the available sound spectra of the recorder.

The model 24-A-SONDERL by Paetzold by Kunath has a wind tunnel that is straight and conical.
Conical wind tunnels accelerate the breathing air more than cylindrical ones.
Wind tunnels are of course extremely complex in their geometric form and many parameters play together.

Wise of grip

The flute Paetzold by Kunath SOLO 24-A-SONDERL is delivered in the version: Baroque fingering.

Flaps

It is not always possible to place tone holes in places in the body that are pleasant to grasp with the fingers. Especially with larger recorders, for acoustic reasons, tone holes are located in places that are impossible to reach. With such instruments, flaps are attached to the instrument makers, which {simplify {easily} the grasping, or make it possible at all only at all.
The instrument 24-A-SONDERL has the following keys: Paetzold full folding. This allows players with smaller hands to play well. This form of flap mechanism is unique and legally protected. Especially in Korea and Taiwan, these instruments are often used in schools by leading teachers for adolescent players.
But also older players with reduced grip span of the hands enjoy the advantages of the Paetzold full folding.

Construction

The number of parts of a recorder strongly influences the way in which it can be used, on the one hand, to ensure uncomplicated handling in terms of easy reachability and, on the other hand, to ensure comfortable transport.
This is a point not to be underestimated, especially when transporting larger (and sometimes several) instruments.
Experienced ensemble players can sing you a song about it.

Packaging and accessories

The model comes standard with an optional bag / case and matching accessories: Fat jar, fingering chart, care instructions

Hygiene tips

If the recorder is rented more often, it makes sense to disinfect the wind tunnel if necessary to ensure hygienic safety. In these cases Flautisept has proven its worth as a disinfectant. You will find Flautisept in our assortment.
