The instrument from the series MASTER with the model number: 469-EBC built by Paetzold by Kunath is a companion that always creates fun in daily use.
The instrument owes this special feature mainly to the clever combination of the outstanding model design in combination with the timbre of the birch plywood used.

The material of this instrument convinces pleasantly by its unique sound characteristics. The special characteristics can best be described with the following words: Noble.

The scale

The geometry of the inner bore of the recorder is cylindrical and wider. This type of bore gives the recorder its typical sound.
In principle, instruments with a wider bore sound warmer, fuller, more fundamental and thus more ensembleable than models with a narrower bore.

For which music can the flute be used?

Birch plywood is particularly suitable for instruments that are used in folk music and as an introduction to recorder playing.

Who is this instrument intended for?

The result is that instruments made of birch plywood are particularly suitable for ambitious amateurs and advanced players. Another important rule is that in most cases a more sophisticated instrument makes learning more enjoyable than a simple one.

The wind tunnel of the recorder

The wind tunnel is the area in the instrument headpiece in which the breathing air of the musician is formed into a thin air blade. This air leaf is the determining element of the sound of a flute. At the labium, the oscillation generating the flute tone is generated from the air leaf. The shape of the wind tunnel is thus one of the defining features for the range of artistic uses of the recorder.

The recorder 469-EBC by Paetzold by Kunath has a wind tunnel that is straight and conical.
Conical wind tunnels accelerate the breathing air more than cylindrically shaped ones.
Wind tunnels are complex in their design and many parameters play together.

Wise of grip

The flute Paetzold by Kunath MASTER 469-EBC is delivered in the version: Baroque fingering.

It is not always possible to drill tone holes in places in the body that are easy and convenient to reach with the fingers. Especially with larger instruments, for acoustic reasons tone holes are located at positions that are not accessible. With these instruments, the instrument maker attaches mechanics that make gripping pronounced {simplify|ease, or even make it possible in the first place.
The instrument 469-EBC has the following keys: Paetzold full folding. This allows players with smaller hands to grasp the ball more than average. This form of flap mechanism is unique and legally protected. Especially in Taiwan and Korea, these models are often used in schools by well-known teachers of young players.
But also older players with reduced grip span of the hands enjoy the advantages of the Paetzold full folding.

Construction of the body

The construction of a woodwind instrument fundamentally shapes the way in which the recorder can be used in daily life, on the one hand for easy assembly and on the other for comfortable transport.
A point that becomes particularly important when larger or more instruments need to be carried. Leaders of large ensembles know how useful good and compact recorder packaging is. Provided that the instruments can be dismantled into small parts.

Packaging and accessories

The model is supplied as standard with optional bag / case and matching accessories: Fat jar, fingering chart, care instructions

Hygiene tips

If the recorder is lent again and again, it makes sense to disinfect the wind tunnel again and again to ensure hygienic safety. In these cases the remedy Flautisept has proven itself for this purpose. You will find Flautisept in our assortment.
