The instrument from the series MASTER with the model number: 469-AO from the workshop Paetzold by Kunath is an instrument that always brings joy to playing in class as well as on stage.
This is largely due to the clever combination of the special design in symbiosis with the sound characteristics of the birch plywood used. The material used for this instrument is strikingly pleasant due to its special qualities. The characteristics can be described as follows, whereby it is in the nature of things that sounds can only be described inadequately with words. Therefore the sound of recorders is perceived and described in slightly different details by every person: Wooden and warm.

The scale

The geometry of the inner bore of the recorder is cylindrical and wider. This type of drilling process gives the model its typical sound.
In principle, instruments with a further bore sound warmer, fuller, more fundamental and thus more ensembleable than recorders with a narrower bore.

For which music styles can the instrument be used?

Birch plywood is particularly suitable for recorders that are used in folk music and as an introduction to recorder playing.

Who is the instrument intended for?

The result is that recorders made of birch plywood are particularly suitable for ambitious amateurs and advanced players. A noteworthy rule is that a more qualitative instrument usually makes learning less complicated than an inferior one.

The Wind Tunnel of a Recorder

The wind tunnel is the area in the headpiece of the recorder in which the breathing air of the musician is formed into a thin blade of air. This air leaf is the germ cell of the sound production of a flute. At the labium, the oscillation that fundamentally generates the flute tone is generated from the air leaf. The shape of the wind tunnel is thus one of the defining principles for the musical expressiveness of the flute.

The model 469-AO by Paetzold by Kunath has a wind tunnel that is straight and conical.
Conically shaped wind tunnels accelerate the breathing air more than cylindrical ones.
Wind tunnels are extremely complex in their design and many parameters play together.

Wise of grip

The flute Paetzold by Kunath MASTER 469-AO is offered in the version: Baroque fingering.

It is not always possible to place tone holes in places in the instrument that are comfortable and easy to reach with the hands. Especially with deep instruments, some tone holes are located in places that are not ergonomically accessible due to mood-relevant necessities. With these instruments mechanics are attached, which {simplify {gripping} or make it possible at all.
The instrument 469-AO has the following keys: Paetzold full folding. This means it can also be played ergonomically by players with smaller hands. This flap mechanism is unique and legally protected. Especially in Korea and Taiwan, these models are often used in youth ensembles by leading teachers for growing players.
But also older players with small hands appreciate the advantages of Paetzold full folding.

Multi-part ratio

The construction of a woodwind instrument strongly influences the way in which the recorder can be used in daily life, on the one hand, to ensure meaningful handling with regard to easy assembly and, on the other hand, to ensure safe transport.
This is a point not to be underestimated, especially when transporting larger (and sometimes several) instruments.
Experienced ensemble players can sing you a song about it.

Packaging and accessories

The model comes standard with optional bag / case and the following accessories: Fat jar, fingering chart, care instructions

Hygiene tips

If you borrow the recorder frequently, we recommend that you sterilize the headjoint again and again to keep it clean. The care product Flautisept has proven itself for disinfection in these cases. Flautisept is available in our assortment.

Advice on finding a new instrument

How do you easily find a next instrument?
Get expert advice!
But don't be deterred from trying out a new instrument yourself by "generally valid" rules, such as "the xy brand doesn't work at all in ensembles / for professionals". Your taste is as unique as you are. Therefore, only you can decide for yourself which recorder will inspire you.
Our recommendation is therefore: Play on unknown manufacturers that you have never tried before. You can't lose anything, you can only gain experience.
