The recorder of the series MASTER with the model name: 449DB built by Paetzold by Kunath is a recorder that makes music making fun in daily use.
The instrument owes this characteristic mainly to the deliberate composition of the groundbreaking model in combination with the expressive possibilities of the birch plywood used. This material fascinates with the instrument strikingly by its unique advantages. The properties can be described as follows: Overtone-rich.

The scale

The inner bore of the instrument is cylindrical and wider. This type of drilling process gives the model its typical sound.
In principle, instruments with a further bore sound warmer, fuller, more fundamental and thus more ensembleable than recorders with a narrower bore.

What music can the instrument be used for?

Birch plywood is ideal for instruments that are used in folk music and as an introduction to recorder playing.

Who is the instrument intended for?

The result is that recorders made of birch plywood are particularly suitable for ambitious amateurs and advanced players. A further basic rule to be observed is that a higher quality instrument naturally makes making music more pleasant than a cheap one.

The Wind Tunnel of a Recorder

The wind tunnel is the area in the recorder head in which the breathing air of the musician is formed into a thin air sheet. This air leaf is the central starting point of the sound production of the instrument. At the labium the oscillation generating the flute tone is generated from the air leaf. The shape of the wind tunnel is thus one of the defining features for the bandwidth of the musical expressiveness of the instrument.

The instrument 449DB by Paetzold by Kunath has a wind tunnel that is straight and conical.
Conically shaped wind tunnels accelerate the air blade more than cylindrical ones.
Wind tunnels are very complex in their geometric design and many parameters are influenced by each other.

Wise of grip

The instrument Paetzold by Kunath MASTER 449DB is available in the following versions: Baroque fingering.

It is not always possible to drill the tone holes into the places in the instrument that can be easily reached with the fingers. Especially with deep instruments, some tone holes are located in places that are not ergonomically accessible due to mood-relevant necessities. For such instruments, the instrument maker assembles key mechanisms that {simplify {easily} the grip, or make it possible in the first place.
The instrument 449DB has the following keys: Paetzold full folding. This makes the recorder easy to grasp, even for players with smaller hands. This flap system is unique and legally protected. Especially in the Asian region these recorders are often used in schools by leading teachers for young players.
But also older players with reduced grip of the hands appreciate the advantages of Paetzold full folding.

Construction of the body

The structural design with regard to the multi-part nature of a flute has a fundamental influence on the way in which the woodwind instrument can be used, on the one hand, in a way that makes it easy to grasp and, on the other hand, safe to transport.
This is a point not to be underestimated, especially when transporting larger (and sometimes several) instruments.
Experienced ensemble players can sing you a song about it.

Packaging and accessories

The recorder comes standard with an optional bag / case and matching accessories: Fat jar, fingering chart, care instructions

Hygiene tips

If the flute is used by several players, it makes sense to clean the blowing area sterilely at regular intervals in order to maintain cleanliness. For these cases the remedy Flautisept has proven itself in these cases. Flautisept is available in our assortment.
