The Clarineau is the ideal student instrument for all those who want to approach the instruments saxophone or clarinet. In the lower octave, the Clarineau grips like a recorder, making it easier to enter and change to these enchanting members of the woodwind family.
The instrument was developed according to the wishes of Thomas Denig, a clarinet teacher at the Freie Musikschule Hamburg.
The range: chromatic c' - g". Experienced musicians achieve more.
Wise of grip
The instrument with the article number: 824-076K is made in the fingering style: German fingering.
The inner bore of the Clarineaus is cylindrical. This type of drilling process gives the Clarineau its typical sound.
In principle, instruments with a wider bore sound warmer, fuller, more fundamental and thus more ensembleable than models with a narrower bore.
The predecessor of today's clarinet is historically the Chalumeau. This instrument is blown with an approach comparable to the modern clarinet approach.
We have combined the charm of the historical Chalumeaus with the advantages of today's clarinet mouthpieces in the conception of Clarineaus.
Because an instrument can only sound as good as the mouthpiece allows, we deliver our instruments with a high-quality Boehm Bb clarinet mouthpiece. That was especially adapted to the Clarineau.
The leaf is produced for us in a small factory in Germany. The wood used is free of pesticides.
We believe that these small but subtle differences distinguish Clarineaus in terms of quality.
The instrument is made of well seasoned tonewood. The body was treated with paraffin for impregnation and then oiled with vegetable oil.
This characteristic is largely due to the masterful marriage of the outstanding model and the fine coordination with the qualities of the grenadilla used.
The use of grenadilla gives the instruments a particularly soft and warm sound.
The Clarineaus, which are built with flaps, use a unique design of the flap bearing. This construction protects the cushions and springs of the individual flaps safely.
Since most of the flaps are recessed into the body, damage can be virtually ruled out.
The Clarineau consists of the following parts: 2 parts (Boehm clarinet mouthpiece, lower part). The instrument weighs 0.180 kilograms without packaging and accessories.
Packaging and accessories
The packaging included in the delivery is a multi-part cotton bag. The model is offered as standard with accessories that are useful for daily use: Care oil, wiper rod, dry cloth, cone grease, care instructions, fingering chart
As an optional extra, you can also order the instrument with a GF fabric blade screw. This makes the fastening of the reed immensely easier and allows a firmer reed seat.
The GF fabric blade screw has a very considerable influence on the sound and response of the instrument in addition to the mouthpiece and the body.
The tissue leaf screw sits like a perfect tailor-made suit on the mouthpiece and fixes the leaf so fast and safe on this.
Due to the clever mechanics (left-hand and right-hand threads of the spindle), a symmetrical tensile force acts on the blade when the blade screw is tightened, so that it remains in the set position.
The safety ring on the thread of the mechanism prevents the mouthpiece from being scratched when the blade screw is placed on it. The crosshair printed on the ribbon makes setting up the sheet a lot easier.
