Description
The Clarineau is the outstanding entry-level instrument for anyone who wants to approach the woodwind instruments of modern reed instruments. The Clarineau grips like a recorder in the lower octave, making it easier to prepare for these enchanting woodwinds.
The instrument was developed at the suggestion of Thomas Denig, a clarinet teacher at the Freie Musikschule Hamburg.
Sound range
The range: chromatic c' - g". Experienced musicians can achieve a larger range.
Wise of grip
The instrument with the item number: 824-072K is manufactured in the fingering style: Baroque fingering.
The scale
The inner bore of the Clarineaus is cylindrical. This type of drilling process gives the model its typical sound.
In principle, instruments with a further bore sound warmer, fuller, more fundamental and thus more ensembleable than reed instruments with a narrower bore.
mouthpiece
The precursor of the clarinet is the chalumeau. This instrument is blown on with an approach that can be compared to that of the clarinet.
The Clarineau combines in a unique way the charm of the historical Chalumeau with the advantages of today's clarinet mouthpieces.
Because it is well known that an instrument can only sound as good as the mouthpiece allows, we deliver our Clarineaus with a high quality Boehm Bb clarinet mouthpiece. Selected by leading clarinet teachers for the Clarineau.
Sheets
The leaves are produced in Germany by a small but fine manufactory especially for us. The cane wood used is proven to be free of pesticides.
We are of the opinion that these small but subtle differences distinguish Clarineaus in their quality.
We consider it to be the central task of an instrument maker in the development of a woodwind instrument to attach importance to these points.
Corpus
The body of the instrument is made of tonewood that has aged over many years. The body was impregnated with paraffin to protect it from dirt and moisture and oiled with a special vegetable oil mixture.
Sound properties
This is due to the congenial combination of the unique design in symbiosis with the expressive possibilities of the grenadilla material used.
The use of grenadilla gives the instruments an incomparably warm and soft sound.
id=3;For instruments built with keys, a key bearing construction based on historical ideas but perfected by us is used. This construction protects the cushions and springs of the dampers safely.
Since most of the flaps are recessed into the body, damage can be virtually ruled out even in rough school conditions.
Construction
The instrument is multi-part and consists of the following parts: 2-part (Boehm clarinet mouthpiece, lower part). It weighs a net 0.180 kilograms.
Packaging and accessories
The packaging is a multi-part cotton bag. The Clarineau is offered as standard with accessories that are useful for daily use: Care oil, wiper rod, dry cloth, cone grease, care instructions, fingering chart
Special equipment
You can also order the instrument with a GF tissue blade screw. This makes it much easier to fix the reed and allows a better fit of the reed.
The GF fabric blade screw, along with the instrument body and mouthpiece, has an influence on the response and sound of the instrument that should not be underestimated.
The tissue leaf screw fits perfectly like a tailor-made suit on the mouthpiece and fixes the leaf so quickly and securely.
Due to the patented mechanics (left-hand and right-hand threads of the spindle), a symmetrical tensile force is applied to the blade when the blade screw is tightened, so that it remains in the desired position.
The safety ring on the thread of the mechanism prevents the mouthpiece from being scratched when the blade screw is put on. The printed crosshair on the blade band makes setting up the blade a lot easier.
