The Clarineau is the student instrument recommended by leading teachers for those who wish to approach the woodwind instruments saxophone or clarinet. The fingering of the Clarineaus is similar to that of the recorder in the lower octave, making it easier to get started with these fascinating woodwinds.
It was developed in close cooperation with Thomas Denig, clarinet teacher at the Freie Musikschule Hamburg.
The range: chromatic c' - g". Experienced musicians can achieve a larger range.
Wise of grip
The model with the item number: 817-076-GW is offered in the following fingering: German fingering.
The inner bore of the instrument is cylindrical. This type of drilling process gives the model its typical sound.
In principle, instruments with a further bore sound warmer, fuller, more fundamental and thus more ensembleable than reed instruments with a narrower bore.
Historically, the Chalumeau is the forerunner of today's clarinet. This instrument is blown on with an approach that can be compared to the modern clarinet approach.
We have combined the charm of the historical Chalumeaus with the advantages of today's clarinet mouthpieces in the conception of Clarineaus.
Because it is well known that a woodwind instrument can only sound as good as the mouthpiece allows, we deliver our Clarineaus with a high quality Boehm Bb clarinet mouthpiece. That was specially adapted and adapted to the Clarineau.
The reeds are produced in Germany by a small but fine manufactory especially for us. The wood used is free of pesticides.
We believe that these differences distinguish Clarineaus in terms of quality. Often it is the sum of the small things that make the whole thing so unique.
We consider it to be the central task of an instrument maker in the manufacture of a woodwind instrument to attach importance to these points.
The body of the instrument is made of wood that has been matured for many years. The body was impregnated with paraffin for protection against moisture and then oiled with vegetable oil.
This feature is largely due to the clever combination of the groundbreaking design and the fine coordination with the timbres of the pearwood material used.
The pearwood material used gives the instruments a particularly warm and soft sound.
The Clarineaus, which are built with flaps, use a unique design of the flap bearing. This construction reliably protects the cushions and springs of the individual flaps.
Since the keys are almost completely integrated into the body, damage can be virtually ruled out even during hard concert tours.
The Clarineau is multi-part and consists of the following parts: 2-part (Boehm clarinet mouthpiece, lower part). The instrument weighs 0.147 kilograms net.
Packaging and accessories
The packaging is a multi-part cotton bag. The instrument is offered as standard with accessories that are useful for daily use: Care oil, wiper rod, dry cloth, cone grease, care instructions, fingering chart
As an optional extra, you can also order the Clarineau with a GF fabric blade screw. This makes the clamping of the blade much easier and allows a better fit of the blade.
The GF woven blade screw, along with the mouthpiece and body, has a very large influence on the sound and response of the instrument.
The tissue leaf screw sits perfectly on the mouthpiece like a tailor-made suit and fixes the leaf so quickly and securely on it.
Due to the clever mechanics (left-hand and right-hand threads of the spindle), a symmetrical tensile force acts on the blade when the blade screw is tightened, so that it remains in the desired position.
The safety ring on the thread of the mechanism prevents the mouthpiece from being scratched when the blade screw is placed on it. The printed crosshair on the blade band makes setting up the blade a lot easier.
