The Clarineau is the entry-level instrument that has been tried and tested for many years for anyone who wants to approach the wind instruments clarinet or saxophone. The Clarineau grips like a recorder in the lower octave and makes it easier to switch to these wonderful instruments.
The instrument was developed in close cooperation with Thomas Denig, clarinet teacher at the Freie Musikschule Hamburg.
The range: chromatic c' - g". Experienced musicians achieve more.
Wise of grip
The instrument with the article number: 817-076K-GW is delivered with the fingering: German fingering.
The inner bore of the instrument is cylindrical. This type of drilling process gives the instrument its typical sound.
In principle, reed instruments with a further bore sound warmer, fuller, more fundamental and thus more ensembleable than instruments with a narrower bore.
The precursor of the clarinet is the chalumeau. This instrument is blown with an approach that can be compared to the modern clarinet approach.
The Clarineau combines in a special way the warmth of the historical Chalumeau with the advantages of modern clarinet mouthpieces.
Because a wind instrument can only ever be as good as the mouthpiece, we deliver our Clarineaus with a high-quality Boehm Bb clarinet mouthpiece. That was intensively tuned and adapted to the Clarineau.
The leaves are made in Germany in a small factory especially for us. The wood used is proven to be free of pesticides.
We are of the opinion that these precisely coordinated details make Clarineaus so special.
We consider it to be the central task of an instrument maker in the manufacture of a woodwind instrument to attach importance to these points.
The body of the instrument is made of carefully seasoned wood. The wood was treated with paraffin for impregnation and oiled with a special vegetable oil mixture.
This characteristic is largely due to the carefully considered combination of the above-average instrument model in combination with the sound characteristics of the pearwood used.
The use of pearwood gives the instruments their incomparably soft and warm sound.
The Clarineaus, which are built with flaps, use a unique design. This construction protects the cushions and springs of the individual flaps safely.
Since a large part of the flaps are integrated into the body, damage can virtually be ruled out.
Construction of the body
The instrument is multi-part and consists of the following parts: 2-part (Boehm clarinet mouthpiece, lower part). It weighs a net 0.147 kilograms.
Packaging and accessories
The packaging is a multi-part cotton bag. The instrument is supplied as standard with accessories that are useful for daily use: Care oil, wiper rod, dry cloth, cone grease, care instructions, fingering chart
As an optional accessory, you can also order the instrument with a GF tissue blade screw. This makes the clamping of the blade much easier and enables a more defined fit of the blade.
The GF fabric blade screw has an influence on the sound and response of the instrument which should not be underestimated.
The gold-plated fabric leaf screw sits like a perfect tailor-made suit on the mouthpiece and fixes the leaf so securely and quickly.
Due to the special mechanics (left-hand and right-hand threads of the spindle), a symmetrical tensile force acts on the blade when clamping the blade screw, so that it remains in the desired position.
The safety ring on the thread of the mechanism prevents the mouthpiece from being scratched when the blade screw is placed on it. The printed crosshair on the ribbon makes it much easier for you to set up the sheet.
