Clarineau, baroque fingering, with tissue leaf screw

The Clarineau is the ideal student instrument for those who want to approach the wind instruments clarinet or saxophone. The Clarineau grips like a recorder in the lower octave and makes it easier to switch to these wonderful instruments.
Our Clarineau was developed in close cooperation with Thomas Denig, a clarinet teacher at the Freie Musikschule Hamburg.

Sound range

The range: chromatic c' - g". Depending on the approach, experienced musicians will achieve a larger range.

Wise of grip

The instrument with the item number: 817-072K-GW is manufactured in the fingering style: Baroque fingering.

The scale

The inner bore of the instrument is cylindrical. This type of drilling process gives the Clarineau its typical sound.
In principle, instruments with a wider bore sound warmer, fuller, more fundamental and thus more ensembleable than models with a narrower bore.

The precursor of the clarinet is the chalumeau. It is blown with an approach, which can be compared with that of the clarinet. The Clarineau ingeniously combines the warmth of the historic Chalumeau with the advantages of today's clarinet mouthpieces.
Because it is well known that a wind instrument can only sound as good as the mouthpiece, we deliver our instruments with a high-quality Boehm Bb clarinet mouthpiece. This mouthpiece was specially adapted to the Clarineau.

Pipe blades

The leaf is made in Germany in a small manufactory especially for us. The wood used is proven to be free of pesticides.
We believe that these small but subtle differences make Clarineaus so special.
We consider it to be the central task of an instrument maker to pay attention to these points in the manufacture of a woodwind instrument.

The instrument is made of tonewood that has aged over many years. The body was impregnated with paraffin for protection against moisture and oiled with linseed oil on the surfaces.

Sound properties

This characteristic is due to the clever combination of the special design in combination with the expressive possibilities of the pear tree material used.

The pear wood used gives the Clarineaus their particularly soft and warm sound. id=3;The instruments that are built with flaps use a unique design of the flap bearing. This construction protects the cushions and springs of the individual flaps safely.
Since the keys are almost completely embedded in the body, damage can be virtually ruled out even during hard concert tours.

Construction of the body

The instrument is multi-part and consists of the following parts: 2-part (Boehm clarinet mouthpiece, lower part). It weighs 0.147 kilograms without packaging and accessories.

Packaging and accessories

The packaging included in the delivery is a multi-part cotton bag. The instrument is supplied as standard with the following accessories: Care oil, wiper rod, dry cloth, cone grease, care instructions, fingering chart

Special equipment

As an optional extra, you can also order the Clarineau with a GF fabric blade screw. The fabric blade screw greatly facilitates the fastening of the blade and enables a more defined blade seat. The GF fabric blade screw, in addition to the instrument body and mouthpiece, has an influence on the response and sound of the instrument that should not be underestimated.
The gold-plated fabric blade screw fits perfectly like a tailor-made suit on the mouthpiece and fixes the blade so quickly and securely.
Due to the special mechanics (left-hand and right-hand threads of the spindle), a symmetrical tensile force acts on the blade when the blade screw is tightened, so that it remains in the desired position. The safety ring on the thread of the mechanism prevents the mouthpiece from being scratched when the blade screw is placed on it. The printed crosshair on the band of the blade makes it much easier for you to set up the blade and the symmetric position of the blade screw.
