Flautina, 3 pieces

General

.

The recorder from the series Flautina & Flautino with the item number: 3170A-072 built by Paetzold by Kunath is a companion that always generates joy when playing.
This characteristic is largely due to the special marriage of the above-average construction concept in combination with the expressive possibilities of the pear tree material used.

The material pleasantly fascinates with its unique qualities in this instrument. The special qualities are best described in the following words, although it is in the nature of things that sounds can only ever be inadequately described in words. Therefore the sound of recorders is perceived and described somewhat differently by each person in the details: Soft, warm.

The bore

. The geometry of the inner bore of the instrument is cylindrical and narrow. This type of bore gives the instrument its typical sound.
In principle recorders with a wider bore sound warmer, fuller, more fundamental and thus more suitable for ensembles than instruments with a narrower bore.

What kind of music is the recorder best suited for?

Pearwood is excellent for recorders used in jazz, folk, dance songs and popular music.

Who is the instrument aimed at?

It follows that instruments made of pearwood are particularly suitable for semi-professional, professional players. A general rule of thumb is that a higher quality instrument will in most cases be easier to play than one of inferior quality.

The wind tunnel of a recorder

.

The windway is the area in the instrument headjoint where breathing air is formed into a thin sheet of air. This sheet of air is the basis of the sound of a recorder. At the labium the fundamental vibration which generates the flute sound is produced from the air leaf. The shape of the wind channel is thus one of the formative principles The model 3170A-072 from Paetzold by Kunath has a windway that is straight and conical in shape.
Conical windways accelerate the air more than cylindrical windways.
Wind tunnels are extremely complex in their design and many parameters influence each other.

Griff

.

The recorder Paetzold by Kunath Flautina & Flautino 3170A-072 is manufactured in the version: Baroque fingering.

Flappers

. It is not always possible to drill tone holes in places in the instrument that are easy and comfortable to grip with the fingers. Particularly on bass instruments, some tone holes are located in positions that are inaccessible due to speech-related necessities. On such instruments, keys are fitted to the instrument makers to make gripping considerably {simplify|easier, or even possible in the first place.
The 3170A-072 instrument has the following keys: None. This allows the recorder to be grasped by players with smaller hands. This form of key action is unique and legally protected. Especially in Taiwan and Korea, these models are often used in youth ensembles by leading teachers for young players.
But also older players with reduced grip span of the hands appreciate the advantages of the Ohne.

Construction

.

The construction method of a flute has an extraordinary influence on the way in which the woodwind instrument can be used in daily use, on the one hand to ensure sensible handling in terms of easy assembly, and on the other hand to ensure safe transport.
A point that becomes especially important when larger or more instruments are to be transported.
Leaders of large ensembles know how useful good and compact recorder bags are. Provided that the instruments can be disassembled into small parts.

Packaging and accessories

. The instrument comes standard with bag and the useful accessories: Grease box, fingering chart, care instructions.

Hygiene tips

. If the flute is lent out again and again, it is advisable to sterilize the windway at regular intervals for your own protection. For disinfection, the care product Flautisept has proven its worth. Flautisept is available in our assortment.
