The description
The Clarineau is the student instrument that has been tried and tested for many years for all those who wish to approach the woodwind instruments clarinet or saxophone. The Clarineau grips like a recorder in the lower octave and thus makes it easier to enter and switch to these fascinating members of the family of woodwind instruments.
Our Clarineau was developed in close cooperation with Thomas Denig, clarinet teacher at the Freie Musikschule Hamburg.
The range
The range: chromatic c' - g". Experienced musicians can achieve a larger range.
Wise of grip
The model with the item number: 817-072 is manufactured in the fingering style: Baroque fingering.
The scale
The inner bore of the instrument is cylindrical. This type of drilling process gives the model its typical sound.
In principle, instruments with a further bore sound warmer, fuller, more fundamental and thus more ensembleable than reed instruments with a narrower bore.
The mouthpiece
The precursor of today's clarinet is the chalumeau. It is played with an approach that can be compared to the modern clarinet approach.
The Clarineau combines in a special way the charm of the historical Chalumeau with the advantages of today's clarinet mouthpieces.
Because a woodwind instrument can only be as good as the mouthpiece allows, we deliver our instruments with a high quality Boehm B-flat clarinet mouthpiece. Selected by leading clarinet teachers for the Clarineau.
The leaf
The leaves are produced for us in Germany in a small but fine manufactory. The material used is proven to be free of pesticides.
We believe that these precisely coordinated details make Clarineaus so unique. Often it is the sum of the small things that make the whole thing so convincingly superior.
The carcass
The body of the instrument is made of well seasoned wood. The wood was impregnated with paraffin for protection against moisture and oiled with linseed oil.
The sound characteristics
This is due to the skilful combination of the groundbreaking design and the advantages of the pearwood material used.
The use of pearwood gives the Clarineaus an incomparably soft and warm sound.
id=3;The instruments that are built with flaps have a unique construction. This construction reliably protects the cushions and springs of the individual flaps.
Since the keys are embedded in the body, damage can be virtually ruled out even during hard concert tours.
Construction
The instrument is multi-part and consists of the following parts: 2-part (Boehm clarinet mouthpiece, lower part). It weighs 0.147 kilograms without packaging and accessories.
Packaging and accessories
The packaging is a multi-part cotton bag. The instrument is supplied as standard with the following accessories: Care oil, wiper rod, dry cloth, cone grease, care instructions, fingering chart
The optional extras
You can also order the Clarineau with a GF woven blade screw. The fabric blade screw facilitates the fastening of the blade immensely and allows a more defined blade seat.
Thus the GF fabric blade screw, along with the instrument body and mouthpiece, has an influence on the sound and response of the instrument that should not be underestimated.
The gold-plated fabric blade screw sits like a perfect tailor-made suit on the mouthpiece and fixes the blade so quickly and securely on this.
Due to the patented mechanics (left-hand and right-hand threads of the spindle), a symmetrical tensile force is applied to the blade when the blade screw is tightened, so that it remains in the set position.
The safety ring on the thread of the mechanism prevents the mouthpiece from being scratched when the blade screw is put on. The printed crosshair on the ribbon makes it much easier for you to set up the sheet.
