Kontrabassblockflöte „HP-Original“, Master, Airbrush Kirschholzoptik, Paetzold by Kunath

In stock

The instrument from the series MASTER with the model number: 469-AK from the workshop Paetzold by Kunath is a companion who always enjoys making music in class as well as on stage.
This feature is largely due to the clever combination of the unique model design and the fine tuning with the expressive possibilities of the birch plywood material used.

This material is striking for its extraordinary advantages. The special properties can be described roughly in this way: Soft, warm.

The scale

The geometry of the inner bore of the instrument is cylindrical and wider. This type of drilling process gives the model its typical sound.
In principle, instruments with further bore sound warmer, fuller, more fundamental and thus more ensembleable than recorders with narrower bore.

For which music can the instrument best be used?

Birch plywood is ideal for recorders that are used in ensembles, in choral playing and as solo instruments.

Who is this instrument intended for?

It follows that recorders made of birch plywood are particularly suitable for beginners. A basic rule to be observed is that a more qualitative instrument will in most cases make the interaction more enriching than a low-cost offer at first glance.

The wind tunnel of the recorder

The wind tunnel is the area in the head of the instrument in which the breathing air of the musician is formed into an air sheet. This air leaf is the central starting point of the sound production of a flute. At the labium, the oscillation generating the flute tone is generated from the air leaf. The shape of the wind tunnel is thus one of the defining principles for the variation possibilities of the available sound spectra of the instrument.

The recorder 469-AK by Paetzold by Kunath has a wind tunnel that is straight and conical.
Conically shaped wind tunnels accelerate the air blade more than cylindrical ones.
Wind tunnels are naturally extremely complex in their geometric form and many parameters are influenced by each other.

Wise of grip

The instrument Paetzold by Kunath MASTER 469-AK is offered in the following version: Baroque fingering.

It is not always possible to place tone holes in places that are easy to reach with the hands. Especially with deep recorders some tone holes sit in places that are impossible to reach due to acoustic necessities. With such instruments, the instrument makers are fitted with key mechanisms that {simplify {easily} the grip, or make it possible in the first place.
The instrument 469-AK has the following keys: Paetzold full folding. This allows players with smaller hands to grab the recorder strikingly. This flap system is unique and legally protected. Especially in Asia these instruments are often used in recorder orchestras by internationally renowned teachers for adolescent players.
But even older players with small hands don't want to miss the advantages of Paetzold full folding once they have got to know it.

The number of components of an instrument strongly influences the way in which the recorder can be used, on the one hand, to ensure easy handling in terms of easy reachability and, on the other hand, to ensure convenient transport.

Notes for searching for a new recorder

However, they should never let the opinions of "self-proclaimed experts" prevent them from testing their own flute. Your musical perception is as unique as you are. Therefore, only you can decide for yourself which wind tunnel shape it will achieve.
Our recommendation is therefore: Test different design concepts that you have never tried before. They cannot lose anything, they can only gain new experiences.
