In stock

The instrument from the series MASTER with the model designation: 469DB from the workshop Paetzold by Kunath is a companion who always brings fun to the classroom and on stage.
This is due to the special composition of the unique model design in symbiosis with the sound characteristics of the birch plywood used.

This material fascinates with the instrument remarkably pleasantly by its unusual advantages. The properties can be characterized as follows, whereby it is in the nature of things that sounds can only be described very inadequately with words. Therefore the sound of recorders is perceived and described differently by each person in the details: Soft, warm.

The scale

The inner bore of the recorder is cylindrical and wider. This type of drilling process gives the recorder its typical sound.
In principle, instruments with a wider bore sound warmer, fuller, more fundamental and thus more ensembleable than models with a narrower bore.

For which music can the flute best be used?

Birch plywood is ideal for instruments used in jazz, folk, dance and popular music.

Who is this recorder for?

As a result, instruments made of birch plywood are particularly suitable for semi-professionals and professional players. A second basic rule to consider is that in most cases a valuable instrument makes learning less complicated than an offer that at first glance appears to be inexpensive.

The Wind Tunnel of a Recorder

The wind tunnel is the area in the instrument headpiece in which the breathing air of the musician is formed into an air blade. This air leaf is the determining element of the sound of a flute. At the labium, the oscillation that causes the flute tone is generated from the air leaf. The shape of the wind tunnel is thus extremely influential for the musical expressiveness of the flute.

The recorder 469DB by Paetzold by Kunath has a wind tunnel that is straight and conical.
Conically shaped wind tunnels accelerate the breathing air more than cylindrical ones.
Wind tunnels are of course complex in their design and many parameters are influenced by each other.

Wise of grip

The Instrument Paetzold by Kunath MASTER 469DB is delivered in the following version: Baroque fingering.

It is not always possible to place tone holes in the instrument body where they can be easily reached by hand. Especially with larger recorders, some tone holes are located in positions that are not ergonomically accessible for reasons relevant to response. With such instruments, the instrument maker attaches key mechanisms which {simplify {gripping} or make it possible at all.
The instrument 469DB has the following keys: Paetzold full folding. This allows the recorder to be gripped ergonomically even by players with smaller hands. The shape of the flaps is unique and legally protected. Especially in Taiwan and Korea, these recorders are often used in youth ensembles by internationally renowned teachers for adolescent players.
But even adult players with reduced grip of the hands would not want to miss the advantages of the Paetzold full folding once they have used it.

The number of parts of a recorder strongly influences the way in which it can be used in daily life, on the one hand for easy assembly and on the other hand for comfortable transport.
