In stock

The recorder from the series MASTER with the model name: 469DB-AK manufactured by Paetzold by Kunath is a recorder that is a lasting pleasure to play music in class as well as on stage.
The instrument owes this characteristic mainly to the special combination of the groundbreaking construction concept in combination with the sound characteristics of the birch plywood used. The material of this instrument is strikingly pleasant due to its typical sound properties. The characteristics can be described as follows: Noble.

The scale

The geometry of the inner bore of the instrument is cylindrical and wider. This type of drilling process gives the instrument its typical sound.
In principle, recorders with a further bore sound warmer, fuller, more fundamental and thus more ensembleable than instruments with a narrower bore.

For which music can the flute be used?

Birch plywood is predestined for recorders that are used in folk music and as an introduction to recorder playing.

Who is this recorder for?

The above facts show that instruments made of birch plywood are particularly suitable for ambitious amateurs and advanced players. A second basic rule to be considered is that a higher quality instrument makes learning progress easier in most cases than a lower quality instrument.

The wind tunnel of the recorder

The wind tunnel is the area in the head of the recorder in which the breathing air of the musician is formed into a thin air sheet. This air blade is the basis of the sound of the instrument. In interaction with the labium, the oscillation that causes the flute tone is generated from this air leaf. The shape of the wind tunnel is thus extremely important for the range of artistic uses of the recorder.

The model 469DB-AK by Paetzold by Kunath has a wind tunnel that is straight and conical.
Conical wind tunnels accelerate the breathing air more strongly than cylindrical ones.
Wind tunnels are very complex in their geometric design and many parameters are influenced by each other.

Wise of grip

The model Paetzold by Kunath MASTER 469DB-AK is offered in the version: Baroque fingering.

It is not always possible to place tone holes in the instrument body where they can be easily grasped with the hands. Especially with deep instruments, some tone holes sit in positions that are not tangible for reasons relevant to the tuning. For such instruments, the instrument maker assembles mechanics that make gripping {easier|| or even possible in the first place.
The instrument 469DB-AK has the following keys: Paetzold full folding. This makes it easy to play, even for players with smaller hands. The flap shape is unique and legally protected. Especially in Taiwan and Korea, these models are often used in youth ensembles by well-known teachers for young players.
But also older players with reduced grip of the hands appreciate the advantages of Paetzold full folding.

The construction of a woodwind instrument influences in many ways the way in which the recorder can be used, on the one hand, to ensure easy handling in terms of easy reachability and, on the other hand, to ensure safe transport.
This is a point not to be underestimated, especially when transporting larger (and sometimes several) instruments.
Ask veteran ensemble leaders once.
