Description

The Clarineau is the proven instrument for beginners for those who want to approach the instruments saxophone or clarinet. The fingering of the Clarineaus is similar to that of the recorder in the lower octave, making it easier to get to grips with these enchanting members of the woodwind family.
The instrument was developed at the suggestion of Thomas Denig, clarinet teacher at the Freie Musikschule Hamburg.

Sound range

The range: chromatic c' - g". Depending on the approach, experienced musicians will achieve a larger range.

Wise of grip

The instrument with the article number: 817-072K is delivered with the following fingering: Baroque fingering.

The scale

The inner bore of the instrument is cylindrical. This type of drilling process gives the instrument its typical sound.
In principle, reed instruments with a further bore sound warmer, fuller, more fundamental and thus more ensembleable than instruments with a narrower bore.

mouthpiece

The Chalumeau is the forerunner of today's clarinet. This instrument is played with an approach that can be compared to the modern clarinet approach. In the Clarineau we have combined the charm of the historical Chalumeau with the advantages of today's clarinet mouthpieces.
Because a woodwind instrument can only be as good as the mouthpiece allows, we deliver our Clarineaus with a high-quality Boehm Bb clarinet mouthpiece. This mouthpiece has been extensively adapted to the Clarineau.

Pipe blades

The reeds are produced for us in Germany in a small but fine manufactory. The cane wood used is free of pesticides and harmful substances.
We are of the opinion that these small but subtle differences distinguish Clarineaus in their quality. Often it is the sum of the small things that make the whole thing so unique.
We consider it to be the central task of an instrument maker to attach importance to these points when developing an instrument.

Corpus

The body of the instrument is made of tonewood that has aged over many years. The wood was treated with paraffin for impregnation and oiled with linseed oil.

Sound properties

The instrument owes this circumstance mainly to the clever combination of the unique model in symbiosis with the timbres of the pearwood material used.

The pearwood used gives the instruments their particularly warm and soft sound. id=3;The instruments that are built with flaps use a unique design of the flap bearing. This construction protects the springs and cushions of the individual flaps safely.
Since most of the keys are integrated into the body, damage can be virtually ruled out even during hard concert tours.

Multi-part ratio

The instrument is multi-part and consists of the following parts: 2-part (Boehm clarinet mouthpiece, lower part). It weighs 0.147 kilograms without packaging and accessories.

Packaging and accessories

The packaging is a multi-part cotton bag. The instrument is supplied as standard with accessories that are useful for daily use: Care oil, wiper rod, dry cloth, cone grease, care instructions, fingering chart

Special equipment

You can also order the Clarineau with a GF fabric blade screw as an optional accessory. The fabric blade screw greatly facilitates the fastening of the blade and allows a better blade fit.
Thus the GF fabric blade screw, along with the instrument body and mouthpiece, has a very large influence on the response and sound of the instrument.
The gold-plated fabric leaf screw sits like a perfect tailor-made suit on the mouthpiece and fixes the leaf so securely and quickly. Due to the ingenious mechanics (left-hand and right-hand threads of the spindle), a symmetrical tensile force acts on the blade when the blade screw is tightened, so that it remains in the set position.
The safety ring on the thread of the mechanism prevents the mouthpiece from being scratched when the blade screw is put on. The printed crosshair on the ribbon makes it much easier for you to set up the sheet.
