Bassetblockflöte „HP-Original“ Solo, Schwarz lackiert, Paetzold by Kunath

In stock

The recorder from the series SOLO with the article number: 24-AS from Paetzold by Kunath is an instrument that always gives pleasure when playing.
This characteristic is due to the thoughtful marriage of the outstanding instrument model in combination with the qualities of the RESONA material used.

In this instrument, the material is pleasantly fascinating due to its special sound properties. The properties can be roughly described as follows: Soft, warm.

The scale length

. The inner bore of the recorder is cylindrical and wider. This type of bore gives the recorder its typical sound.
In principle, instruments with a wider bore sound warmer, fuller, more fundamental and thus more suitable for ensembles than models with a narrower bore.

For which musical styles can the instrument be best used?

RESONA is predestined for instruments that are used in ensembles, in choral playing and soloistically.

Who is this recorder aimed at?

It follows that instruments from RESONA are particularly suitable for beginners. A basic rule is that a higher-quality instrument usually makes music-making easier than a seemingly inexpensive offering.

The wind tunnel of a recorder

The windway is the area in the recorder head where the musician's breath is formed into a sheet of air. This air leaf is the defining element of the instrument's tone production. In interaction with the labium the air leaf gives rise to the vibration which generates the flute tone. The shape of the wind channel is therefore very important The recorder 24-AS from Paetzold by Kunath has a windway that is straight and conical in shape.
Conical windways accelerate the air leaf more than cylindrical windways.
Wind tunnels are naturally complex in their geometric shape and many parameters influence each other.

The Paetzold by Kunath SOLO 24-AS flute is manufactured in the following version: Baroque fingering.

. It is not always possible to drill tone holes in places in the body that are easy and comfortable to grip with the fingers. Especially on bass instruments, due to acoustic necessities, some tone holes sit in positions that cannot be grasped. On such instruments, machine heads are added to {simplify|facilitate gripping, or make it possible in the first place.
The 24-AS instrument has the following keys: Paetzold Full Folding. This allows it to be ergonomically grasped by players with smaller hands. This key system is unique and legally protected. Especially in Taiwan and Korea these models are often used in recorder orchestras by internationally renowned teachers for adolescent players.
But also older players with small hands appreciate the advantages of the Paetzold full-fold system.

Body construction

The structural design in relation to the multi-part nature of a musical instrument strongly influences the way in which the flute can ensure sensible handling in terms of easy gripping on the one hand, and safe transport on the other, during daily use.
This is a point that should not be underestimated, especially when transporting larger (and sometimes several) instruments.
Experienced ensemble players can tell them a thing or two about it.

Packaging and accessories

. The instrument comes standard with Optional bag / case and the useful accessories: Grease jar, fingering chart, care instructions.

Hygiene tips

. If the flute is played by more than one person, you should consider sterilizing the headjoint again and again to maintain cleanliness. Flautisept has proved to be a good remedy for this. You will find Flautisept in our assortment.

Notes for the search for a new recorder

. How do you easily find your next instrument?
Ask acquaintances
. You should in no way let the opinions of "self-proclaimed experts" discourage you from testing a recorder yourself. Your musical sensibilities are as unique as you are. Therefore, only you can decide which recorder will entice you to "make endless music".
Our recommendation is therefore: Play even unfamiliar materials that you have never tried before. You can only gain new experiences.
