While the recorder models that are played today are based on the ideas of historical instrument makers such as Rottenburgh, Denner, Kynseker, Bressan and others, sigo goes its own way.
Sigo is a recorder model series that was developed in collaboration between Kunath Instrumentenbau and Geri Bollinger, one of Europe's leading recorder makers.
The tenor instrument 5405-072 has almost the same grip width as a soprano (descant) recorder. The angled headjoint and the thumb rest integrated into the mould make sigo particularly ergonomic.
The body is made of RESONA, a material developed by Kunath Instrumentenbau from renewable raw materials. The headjoint is made from plant-based resins.
As the Sigo scale is folded, the instrument sounds just as deep, although it is shorter than a normal tenor flute.
The matt surface of the lower body and the thumb rest integrated into the mould make the instrument exceptionally comfortable to play.

Die SIGO ist wirklich wunderbar. Ich muss euch einfach nochmal etwas schreiben um das zu erzählen. Leicht vom Gewicht her: schön um die Sigo mit in den Ferien zu nehmen 😉 ( Sie darf diesen Sommer mit uns ins Schwarzwald fahren) und sehr bequem beim Spielen. Der Daumstutz ist klasse. Genau an der richtigen Stelle, und von der Form her auch sehr angenehm und praktisch. Der Arjan hat mich schon gefragt ob ich nicht zu lange an einem Stück gespielt habe, aber die Sigo protestiert nicht, und meine Hände auch nicht! Also auch ergonomisch ein gutes Konzept. Das hohe Cis kann ich ganz bequem benutzen, weil es einfach ist um die „Unterseite“ mit Stutz Daum zu bedienen. Wann die Sigo warm ist spüre ich die Vibration beim spielen auf angenehme Weise, es fühlt sich so an als ob das Instrument lebt. Und dann kann ich auch noch Musik aus jedem Zeit Fach darauf spielen. Die Mühe und Mut um die Sigo zu kreieren hat was wirklich Schönes auf der Welt gebracht. In ein Wort: FABELHAFT!
