Discover the future of recorder playing

The sigo recorders are breaking new ground.

With a new construction method that has never been used before in the world of recorders, sigo is setting new standards in terms of playing enjoyment. These innovative recorders are aimed at music lovers of all ages - from beginners to ambitious amateur musicians.

From copy&paste to create. It's time for a new design.

Sigo stands out not only because of its new design, but much more because of its ergonomics, which astonish and inspire.
In contrast to conventional recorders, which are largely copies of historical models, Sigo combines important characteristics of well-known recorders with a completely new feature. But this detail has it all.

The sigo Tenor - which has a similar fingering range to a soprano (descant) recorder - was unveiled at lifem in London on 14 November 2024.

The sigo F alto - which has a smaller finger width than a soprano (treble) recorder - and the sigo F bass - which requires a smaller finger width than a normal F alto recorder - will be available from April 2026.
These instruments can already be ordered from specialist musical instrument retailers.

A new definition of the recorder

Sigo promises a completely new playing experience. Thanks to its special construction method, it opens up new possibilities for use that will inspire both beginners and advanced players.
The fascinating details of the new series will be unveiled during the presentation at lifem, but we can already guarantee that sigo will significantly expand the possibilities of recorder playing.

New possibilities for recorder playing - with sigo

The future needs a past. That's why sigo builds on the most important features of existing recorder models such as blowing technique and fingering. This means that people who already play the recorder can pick up sigo and immediately benefit from its advantages - intuitively.

Sigo enables direct contact with the tone holes and therefore more nuanced playing.

Recorder students at music schools and general education schools thus have the opportunity to experience the acoustic pleasure of a deep ensemble sound at a very early stage.

Availability and distribution

Sigo f-alto and f-bass recorders will be available from specialist music retailers from April 2026.
