Während die Blockflötenmodelle, die heute gespielt werden, auf den Ideen historischer Instrumentenbauer wie Rottenburgh, Denner, Kynseker, Bressan und weiteren beruhen, geht sigo eigene Wege.
sigo ist eine Blockflötenmodellreihe, die in Zusammenarbeit von Kunath Instrumentenbau mit Geri Bollinger, einem der führenden europäischen Blockflötenbauer, entwickelt wurde.
Das Tenorinstrument 5405-072 hat nahezu die gleiche Griffweite wie eine Sopranblockflöte. Durch das angewinkelte Kopfstück und die in die Form integrierte Daumenstütze ist sigo besonders ergonomisch.
Korpus und Kopf werden aus RESONA hergestellt, einem von Kunath Instrumentenbau entwickelten Material aus nachwachsenden Rohstoffen.
Da die sigo-Mensur gefaltet ist, klingt das Instrument, obwohl es kürzer als eine normale Tenorflöte ist, genauso tief.
Die matte Oberfläche des Unterstücks und die in die Form integrierte Daumenstütze verleihen dem Instrument einen außergewöhnlichen Spielkomfort.

Endlich eine Weiterentwicklung der Blockflöte ...
Herzlichen Dank, die Sendung der beiden Sigo-Tenöre ist rechtzeitig angekommen. Ich habe persönlich eine Brandrede für die m.M. nach wichtigste Weiterentwicklung des Instrumentes seit der Renaissancezeit gehalten. Ich bin überzeugt davon, dass uns dieses Instrument von der Geissel des 20. Jhdts- der Sopranblockflöte als Anfangsinstrument befreien wird und danke Euch aus tiefstem Herzen dafür! H.G.

Very happy
I'm very happy with the instrument, I think it's the perfect hobbyist recorder. Plays comfortably like an alto, and I don't have to do acrobatics to close the bell hole :) All the compliments to the makers, I'm looking forward to following any developments. Hrvoje P.

Mine arrived on May 2 and I love it!
I have an injured right hand, along with short arms and short fingers, and I can no longer play standard alto, tenor, or bass recorders (even keyed ones). I have had to stay with soprano only. The SIGO has given me back a tenor voice! It is so lightweight and easy to play and maintain. I hate to put it down when I am playing. I have played it in ensemble and it blends beautifully with other recorders and other miscellaneous instruments, not only for standard recorder repertoire but also for modern, folk and jazz.
