The Pocket-Clarineau is the ideal instrument for beginners interested in the clarinet or saxophone.

The range: chromatic c' - d" for beginners.
For more advanced players another octave is available. (See also the grey shaded area of the fingering chart.)
The instrument is made from treated pearwood, which gives it an especially warm and mellow tone.

It has the same fingering as a recorder and therefore makes starting or changing to these fascinating instruments easier.
The Chalumeau is, historically speaking, the original clarinet and is blown in the same way.
The Waldorf Pocket-Clarienau is made without keys.
